ldo simulation

Hi all,

Currently I am designing LDO.... I hv question regarding ac simulation.... do we need to include bypass capacitor in the simulation? As we know this capacitor is huge.... will this capacitor will be our dominant pole?

Thanks

Re: LDO simulation

sure, you should sim with this cap

Re: LDO simulation

Yes, the by pass cap will have effect on your LDO stability.
Besides, bond pad and wire condutance may need to address,
it may affect your transient response.

You should take all of the load into your consideration. About the dominant pole, that depends on your whole loop and enbodiment of your circuits. The output node is always the one but not forever.
