Issue with CIPSEND command in Sim300 GPRS

Hello,

I am facing issue with CIPSEND command while working with sim300.
After I give CIPSEND command I am getting ">" this symbol and once i start entering

the url to connect it just closes the connection and the hyperterminal window gets

hanged and after some minutes i got the CLOSED command on screen.
Can anyone please tell me how to resolve this issue and what is the issue. Below are the list of commands i am using.

STATE: IP STATUS
AT+CIPHEAD=1
OK
AT+CDNSORIP=1
OK
AT+CIPSTART="TCP","www.google.com","80"
OK

CONNECT OK
AT+CIPSEND
> GET / HTTP/1.1
CLOSED
