Hi ,

We are developing an electronic platform for automotive application. We have did something like this in the past but
this was for 12V application (car). Now we have a truck (24V) application. To protect the device and to pass the CE (EMC) tests
we used some protection like this. Knipsel.JPG
The diode is for reverse voltage protection, the TVS is for the protection for ISO7637 pulses. We now are wondering how to solve
this for a 24V application . Can't find enough information on the www. The 24V pulses are much bigger than for 12V applications...
Also the device draws +- 7.5A input current. Anyone who can help me with this?

Thanks!

Kind Regards
Robin

you have to look on the specification of the car maker, it depends from car maker,

ISO7637-2 has specifications for 12 and 24 V systems. What are you particularly missing?

How to choose a diode + TVS or does this 24V system need other components?
