diversity mimo

Hi,

I am reading code on OFDM.

It seems diversity transmitter send out 2 data copy at the same time. Is it similar to MIMO?

Best regards,
Davy

Re: Diversity ?= MIMO

hi
MIMO systems can be used for two different purposes:
1)diversity 2)spatial multiplexing

Re: Diversity ?= MIMO

Hi
If same data send from 2 subcarriers in OFDM, it use frequency diversity like MIMO. but most of the time MIMO use spatial diversity.
be careful about cyclic prefix. u say that u read a code in OFDM. may be sending same data is related to cyclic prefix.

Re: Diversity ?= MIMO

more transmitter, one receiver then it is space time coding
one transmitter many receiver space diversity

HELP MIMO OFDM

I'm reading about detection MIMO_OFDM
I need the book: FUNDAMENTAL OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

@1,how to define it as space-time coding? each transmitter sends data copy at the same time or in a round-robin mode? does it have more channel?
@2,does the receiver receive different signal copies in different direction?

thanks!
