Hi,
I want to use interpolation (upsampling) in my project. The process as explained in DSP books is first adding L-1 zeros between between each sample and then low pass filtering with cut off frequency of Pi/L .How should such filters be designed? Any more information about this topic in general is appreciated.

Thx.

hi
hi,
design this filter , if the highest frequncy in your signal is Wc :
H(jw)= 1 w< Wc/L
0 w> pi/ L

the slop and shape of filter between Wc/L and pi/L can select any form.

There are two methods
1. between each samples add 7zeros and take LPF.
2. If u want to take interpolation for 50 samples first take fft of 64 samples by
padding zeros.
Consider only 33 values. add 224 zeros to it (224+257)
Take ifft of 512 samples.
These two methods explained in Scientist and Eng. guide to DSP.
Bye
Sanbaba
