I want to interface a gas sensor to aduino board wirelessly. But it is not possible without RF. So, can I connect the sensor to RF transmitter directly and connect the RF receiver to arduino board OR I have to use a Mc(probably 8051) betn sensor and RF transmitter?? OR is there any other way(good if simpler :p) to do it?? Please tell.

It largely depends on the gas sensor. Can you post or upload the gas sensors' datasheet?

There are Wireless modules available which provide basic Digital I/O and ADC without the use of a microcontroller.
