Interfacing DS1558(REAL TIME CLOCK) with PIC16F877

Hi ALL,

I have to interface DS-1558(REAL TIME CLOCK) with PIC-16F877 for date and time display on LCD for a project.I need help in the form of interface diagrams/program routines(c will be helpful).

I have no idea about DS1558
But if you search the net (By Google) you will find source codes for DS1302 RTC.

I don't know why you want to use such device, there are simpler devices to work with PIC (DS1302, 3-wire and DS1307, i2c bus). Never the less you can access the RTC by addressing the the top 16 RAM locations. The RTC will keep watching the A0-A18 signal lines.
