intensity control for high pressure sodium vapour lamp using thyristor

i have completed the project to control the intensity of resistive lamp using triac. but now i want to control the intensity (power) of High pressure sodium vapour lamp using thyristor. so please help me as soon as possible.

first...what do you mean on your project? triac is member of thyristor family.

actually i mean to say triac or scr any of them can be used for the project. but main purpose of project is to achieve the intensity control
