implémentation of correlation 2D

In reality I am new to this forum and I need help.
In fact, I try to develop an architecture of 2D correlation to be able to implement in FPGA, can you please help me, it's already two years that I have not started working in this subject.

I think the first step is you firstly define the math that will do the task, and after that, determine the size for the arrays. Are you concerning to perform something on scope of image pattern matching ?

Now,I work on satellite images of size (1GB) and I need to use the 2D correlation.
