I know C language for PC but not for 8051
I am programming in assembly it is very tough to debug some old programs of mine when they are written in assembly.
I want to use C for 8051.
From net i have downloaded SDCC free C complier.
Now I donot know from where i should start.
It there any good book for SDCC or some other free C complier.
I am also looking for some ide that is supporting SDCC.
hope that IDE is also free........

Everything you need is inclued with sdcc (html, pdf).

what about ide,
It is not there
i have taken the overview of SDCCman.pdf
actually i was looking for some thing more like some magazine article or some tutorial to simplfying the things.

Hi nikhilele,

You might want to have a look at:
**broken link removed**

They have a demo version (free, of course) with a limit of 8 kB code (which is the whole memory space of an 8052).

Cheers,

Hi, excuse my bad English!
