hyperterminal commands

while sending commands to a gsm modem through hyperterminal, there is no response, how can i solve?... which are the commands using in hyperterminal for getting response from modem...

first check the hyperterminal with loop back test.. short pin2 3 and type from keyboard.. you should get the characters typed..
then connect modem and try to give at commands..
if you dont get change tx and rx pin at one end of cable........
