I was using VHDL and burning my codes on FPGA,

But, i was told that I can write the codes in C language and burn them on DSP board, is this possible ???
if possible, i need to know the softwares required, and where i can find them ...

if not possible, can you please give me an alternative other than VHDL and FPGA ?

Thanks in Advance,
Omar

You dont need to shout!!

Any way what ever you do, don't "burn" code into a DSP. It just doesn't work

Depending on the DSP available to you, you'll need a compatible software. Which DSP do you have?

:D O.K.

I'm just asking about the concept.
So The software depends on the DSP used, can you give an example please :)

Why you are saying, that burning is not functioning ??

Thanks,

Analog Devices DSPs - VisualDSP++
TI DSPs - Code Composer

You can burn code into on-board FLASH or EEPROM not into a DSP itself. Very few DSPs have on-chip nonvolatile (FLASH) memory.

or you can go for ARM processors which are having DSP's as a Co-processor
and also they are having internal flash

like OMAP platform from TI
