How to uninstall the NS2 software?

Hi friends,

I have installed NS2 software in /usr/ns2 directory.I want to uninstall that software what i have to do ?

Please give me suggestion to uninstall

how to uninstall ns2

if NS2 is a rpm package, you can use command "rpm -e xxx(rpm's name)" to uninstall it.
 

ns2 uninstall

No its not rpm pacakage.Then how to install that one.
 

uninstalling ns2

then it would be tar file. utar it by double clicking it . then run the untared file
from terminal.

sorry yaa installation i know.

i need to do uninstallation

by mistake given install in the previous post

uninstall ns-2

If there was a 'make install' step then you can try 'make uninstall'. If you installed it some other way you have to look at what the installation script did and remove any files it copied or created. If you installed it all to /usr/ns2 you can just do:

how to uninstall ns2

Respected fellows,
I have installed NS2 over cygwin on vista operating system.
It gives error message

$ nam: no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable

can anybody guide me how to resolve it.
I am new to NS2 and dont know much about linux environment either so kindly help me ..
