How to get online with Lubuntu 12.04?

Just made a clean install of Lubuntu from usb flash.
It gained access to internett while installing (obviously), but in conventional mode - wlan is not accessed because "unit is not found". Frustrating because I cant access the updates, and without them, everything is moving slooow. The connection I want is there in the register but Lubuntu refuses to get on it...frustrating..

your question is not clear at all ..... where is information about hardware? The best way to get answer to use www.google.com.

Maybe it would help if you went to terminal and posted the results of 'ifconfig', without the quotes
