Hi everybody!
I'm working in a fingerprint recognition project and i have to estimate the local orientation of fingerprint ridges. The algorithm i used was based on gradient method, but it can only get the scalar angle from 0 - 180 degree. I need the angle from 0 to 360 degree for local orientation of the ridges, but i don't know which area on the finger that the orientation is greater than 180 degree, and vice versa. So, can anny one show me in the bellow picture, where i will get the greater 180 degree direction?
Thank you very much!
