Hi
I want to design a mixer using BJT in ADS. I referred many materials but dont no how they have biased bjt. In ADS cookbook mixer design example is available but no complete explanation to choose bjt DC operating point.
please help me to find out VCE, Ic, Ib,VBE of a bjt.

Re: BJT biasing

For biasing BJT for mixer it is important to bias BJT to give high power output. You can refer the transistor datasheet for ideal bias conditions. If you want to design bias network for bjt in ADS you can easily use the Transistor Bias menu > BJT Bias Smart component.

Regards,
ALP
