How to determine whether the supercap values are suitable

how do i determine whether the supercap values is suitable?

with a solar source of b/tn 10-18V, would like to use supercap to store power before deliver to the converter. would a 20V 10F cap be suitable? as i would like the cap to provide more current for the converter do i need a higher Farad?

Why do you think you need such a large cap?
Usually these caps are in the hundreds of uF range. Is there some special requirement?
What kind of converter are you planning on using?
