Anyone have RAID controller experience ?

I havent created a RAID controller yet.But I will write down some points which comes to my mind.

I think depending upon the type of RAID system you have to partition the main memory into 2 or more blocks. In each of this block you need to define a "block size".

Now each physical address generated by the CPU for accessing the hard disk should be mapped into a virtual address which is understood by the raid processor.This address is used to manage multiple content of the same data in different raid blocks.

You should first decide on which raid system to use and then start thinking about the controller.
