mosfet switch

Hello experts,
I'd like to know how to control MOSFET switch on slew rate so that I can control the inrush current casue by big load input capacitor. Any thoughts?

slew rate control

You can control the switch on slew rate with the value chosen for the gate series resistor.
Larger values, slower turn on.

control mosfet

Lot's of info available heres two

mosfet slew rate

hello,

speeking of inrush, ...eg in high power.......you could just have an inrush resistor and use the mosfet to switch it out.

it is not common what you are implying with mosfet...usually use relay or NTC.

i dont hear of people doing what you say to stop inrush.....usually u just switch out an resistor with mosfet/relay/triac etc

but mosfet is ok.

how to control a mosfet

Hi,

Can someone tell me why slew rate control is required? Is it because of Ldi/dt problem or something else?

Thanks,
Rakith
