calculate the average symbol energy
Hi Folks
In wireless systems, how can I calculate the Energy of a Symbol ? .. where the symbol is a collection of a number of Samples (say 32) .. each sample is a vector by itself (i.e. can be represented by I + jQ) ?
I have one answer, but I'm not sure how accurate it is:
Energy Sum of a certain symbol can be calculated by individually calculating the Magnitude Square of each of its Samples, then sum all the magnitudes and finally divide them by the number of samples .. is this correct ?
