How to calculate Power factor using Microcontroller ?

Hi,

Cos (0°) = 1
Cos (45°) = 0.707
Cos (90°) = 0
Cos (135°) = -0.707
Cos (180°) = -1

As much as it's clear that power factor can be negative, it's also obvious that the test case in post #2 shows a positive power factor.

If you measure a negative power factor with a load that can't feed power to the grid, you either flipped the current direction or got your software mixed up.
