How does HFSS Compute Antenna Gain?

I have noticed a difference in the value given by using the compute antenna parameters option accessed from Radiation>infinite sphere menu as compared to manually plotting the gain using the plot far field option and then getting the largest value of the gain.

For my patch antenna the maximum gain is 5.4dBi whereas when I use the compute antenna parameters tool I get 3.49dBi of peak gain. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
