Hi all
My friend works as flash memory design engineer. He is always talking about high speed sense amplifier. From my understand sense amplifier works like comparator to compare reference voltage with voltage from memory cell and will give output 1 or 0 depend on data program in the cell. The sense amplifier is very simple with one stage and output buffer. My question is which parameter decide speed of sense amp. Sensing time from input to output? Slew rate (setting time)? ...
Anyone has idea or research paper of sense amp please help me to understand it. Thanks a lot.

For small signal, it'll be based on BW of the system. For large signal, it'll be slew rate.
BTW, why don't you just use a strongARM latch. Offset?
