EM4298 is ISO18000-6 type A, B and C (EPC C1G2) communication standard compliant, frequency is 860-960MHz.
I do not have exactly the price, the final price of the UHF reader with EM is 180Eur, consequently I do not think that the price will be too high.
If you want I can ask the price.
I do not have personaly experiancies with EM4298, only from my friend know that it is the quite user friendly chip.
