pic16f84 interface with isd2500

Hello sirs,
I am required to make a sound recorder+playback circuit with memory of atleast 20 seconds for my workshop course. The circuit must be capable to record a sound whenever required and replay it at regular intervals. Rerecording of sound must be possible. I am planning to use ISD 2500 series or ISD 1000 series of IC for this purpose.
Can anyone provide me with a link to a circuit built using these ICs?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Abhishek Chaudhary,

Hi,

I dont know what MCU you are using, but Microchip has few App. Nots and some source code for this.
See what you can find, if not PM me and i will try to see how can i help you.
Good lcuk.
p.s. I have only info on Microchip parts, so i dont know if this data will help you.

Here is an application for a similar IC the ISD1420.

Description and links to circuit and source code:
https://www.nhrc.net/nhrc-2/picrpt.php
The schematics are here
https://www.nhrc.net/nhrc-2/nhrc-2_manual-rev-e.pdf

I dont know the differences between ISD2500 series and ISD1400 but I guess that they are alike.
I have build a similar circuit with a ISD1416 and a PIC16f84. I remember that I got a very complete datasheet and application note at the ICs manufacturers web.
The interface to the ucontroller is very simple when you only have to manage one message of the entire capacity of the memory (U dont have to use the address)
Hope this helps.
