Hi all,
Im using cadence virtuoso for schematic editing and In analog design envirionment im using Hspice with mosis model file. When ever i do simulation it ends with errors indicating "syntax errors in model file at line numbers .....". but the same model file i used with spectre it shows no errors and works fine. Can any body tell me the reason.

There are differencies in the type of models and the syntax for HSpice ans Spectre. Spectre could typical run all models of HSpice but not reverse. The same applies to the netlist features.

The features are Inline Subcircuit Models (I am not shure about the exact name) and VerilogA and more relaxed name conventions

THe model file of Hspice and spectre are different.
The Hspice needs the *.l type model file (Like mm06.l).
And spectre needs the *.scs type model file (Like mm06.scs).
