I want to create virtual folders in a network so that I can move them between servers while keeping the access paths the same.
I have tried with IIS to create a virtual folder but the path is like: \\servername\virtualfoldername
If I move the folder, the servername needs to be changed. I want to get rid of this constraint as there is utility on one client that is backing up these folders and I don't want to change the respective paths.
I am a novice in this respect so any suggestion is welcomed.
