/bin/tar: removing leading `/ from member names

I got this "/bin/tar: Removing leading `/' from member names" problem when installing IC5033 on openSUSE 11, same thing for Ubuntu 8, i guess it is just a siimple question for experienced users. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this error? Many thanks

Specify path of install directory \c
[OR type [RETURN] to exit]: \c
\cadence

Directory cadence does not exist. Create? [y/n]: \c
y

Creating directory cadence

Setting up softload for lnx86 in /home/marco/CadenceInstall/Base/CDROM1/cadence

The following tar errors were detected:

Could not set up SoftLoad in /home/marco/CadenceInstall/Base/CDROM1/cadence\c

You must have write permissions to install directory \c
and all its subdirectories
and atleast 10 MB available disk \c
space in install directory.

I think if you type the following it may work:
for the installation directory:
Type: ~/c
this will cause a directory named c to be created at your home (if not already exists) then installs cadence there.

But I'm not sure.
