Hi all,
I am new to the HFSS environment, and I am modeling a helical antenna using HFSS. Unfortunately, the matching isn't good at all, although achieved the predicted gain, which has nothing to do with the matching. Kindly anyone have modeled a helix before, and got reasonable matching with HFSS? If could send an HFSS file, that will be great.

Thanks a lot...

you need a quarter-wave matching stripline to compensate 140 ohms of helix with 50 ohms of coaxial line. you can use the txline software to calculate the stripline width etc.

good day

Thank you. Have you tested or built a helix before and got a good matching?
