My friend,

I am thinking to install IC5141 as well on Linux distribution, got few questions which need your advice… Very urgent!!!

Hardware
1) Is that a generic PC (such as a Dell dimension 3100) suitable to install RHEL3, Suse10 or CentOS4? Is that difficult to find all drivers for Ethernet card, Graphic card?

DimensionTM 3100
• Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 630 with HT Technology (2MB L2 cache, 3GHz, 800MHz FSB)
• Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
• 512MB (1X512) DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
• 80GB SATA Hard Drive 3.0Gb with NCQ
• 16X DVD-ROM Drive
• Graphic Card : Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900

2) Do I need buy a 64 bit capable PC? Or I can just stick to 32bit PC?

3) Can anyone suggest a good hardware configuration?

Software
3) Where can I find RHEL3, Suse10 ISO download?

Thanks in advance!!

in my class, they still using SUN which is 200MHZ 128M ram, work well even for our middle size projects .(they use IC 4.46)

I am using a slow PC at home, 533MHZ, 256M ram, working great.(I am using IC 5.141)
