hairpin filter microwave office

Hi Guys,

currently im working on hairpin filter design. im having trouble calculating the separation gap and taping point for the filter using coupling factor and external quality factor. im not sure how to simulate this two parameter as shown in the attch picture. it would be good if any one could assist me on how to simulate it using either ADS or microwave office.
thanks for kind consideration

hairpin filter

Hello danesh,

In microwave office (MWO) it is very simple to construct Hairpin structures use the Microstrip coupled line models with MTEE, MLEF, M2CLIN, etc to construct the schematic & the layout...The taping setup is very easy...

I attach couple of examples for your refernce with layouts...
