H11AA1 zero cross detector forward current

I want to connect zero cross detector H11AA1 on the secondary side of transformer 6.3vac. I have seen some circuits with 750ohm + 750ohm resistors between transformer secondary and H11AA1 i.e about 4ma current. But the datasheet shows forward continuous current If=60ma . Now can i use 680ohm instead of 750ohm?

Yes, you may use the 680 ohms resistors. The recommended current for LEDs If=+/- 10mA
