Hi guys ive been looking around for some information about this, and it all seems quite old, and without any particular solution..
i am building a very small device that has a GSM module built in.. however i would love to exchange the micro sim slot with a eeprom with the SIM card information.. is this possible? ive seen that the amazon kindle (newer version) didnt have a simcard, where the older one did.. so they must have found a way to store the sim information on something.. anybody got a idea?

M2M UICCs (MFF1 and MFF2 SMD form factors) have been recently standardized, e.g. in ETSI TS 102671 V9.1.0 and access methods for transfering identity data to the cards have been defined. The question is if your GSM service provider does suport it.

thank you very much, i will look into that! i really love this forum!
