Hi all,

What is the role of the general purpose transitor like BSS138?

I saw it is used at the power supply on the PCB!

Hi...Every transistor has only one function...Amplification, well switching is also a type of amplification...so its amplifying the current in ur PCB

equivalent bss138

well switching is also a type of amplification
Yes, that can't be doubted.
Trying to answer a bit more specific, the N-MOSFET BSS138 is mostly used as a switch.

U have a Gate right? U have a Source & a Drain....The gate is v low as compared to the drain current...That means it is amplifying....Yes! it switches due to amplification....

bss138 as switch

I don't wanted to critisize your statement, just give some additional information.

bss138 como switch

is their any equivalent of BSS138 it's not available in my area
