Gate Drive transformer and sudden duty cycle change

Hi,
The attached (LTspice sim) show Full Bridge’s with GDT drive in hi side only. They both get shut down at some 6ms. One gets the gate drive suddenly stopped…the other gets the gate drive gradually reduced to zero duty cycle. The results are very stark…the one suddenly reduced to zero suffers major GDT oscillation, and if top and bottom fets had been GDT driven , then shoot through conduction, and product destruction, would likely occur.

I did not put in low side GDT drive as the sim then takes too long to run.

So why don’t controllers have this “soft stop” option?
