matlab gabor filters for texture

hi
I sanjay Bhanderi working on Boundry detection and Image segmentaion project in which gabor filter is used for texture segmentaion.

gabor filter is very difficult to understand because in the equation of gabor filter various parameter are there. so if anybody having idea regarding the gabor filter then please sent me the detail of if anybody having the source code in matlab for gabor filter then please help me
