Hi all,

Can I use Xilinx Spartan 3 starter kit for implementing smart antenna
systems ?

regards

question is not clear, we should know how many elements in your array? how fast do you need to steer? and other limitation

number of antennas four or five
the steering/tracking might be slow.

can you see any restrictions by using spartan 3 starter kit
for smart antennas ?

regards

maybe it is not suitable for using spartan 3 starter kit.
if you need compute the weights for antennas, you should use some fpga chips more powerful.

I believe that you will need a front end interface to the antenna, so the starter kit can't do this I guess or may be you will neeed some extension board
