eZ80190 dev bord - opinions needed

ez80190 board

hi folks,

did anyone ever worked with the eZ80190 dev' bord from ZILOG

i need to get anther openion on that bord b4 i'll buy it....

I don't know which is you r evaluation board, exactly.
I've just used the evaluation boards for eZ8F04022 (encore) and eZ8F04022A (encore XP) with worst results... pins pullups don't works well, several pins are unuseful due to connection to leds, oscillator often does not start...
I've fix all this problems kicking those evaluation board in the basket, and using the microcontroller on a the target board directly.
If you use encore microcontrollers, consider that 4.8.x compiler has some bugs... the most important is that the linker does not allocate int/long variable correctly (starting from even address) if those variable are defines as near, so you must force far declaration for all 16bit and 32bit variable to have the program working right.
Also, local variables are not correctly managed....

i dont have the bord yet....

but tell me i am a bit counfuze, what interfaces cun you use in the eval bord?
you have 2 uart 2 spi 2 I2C 's right + ethernet ?

do you think it can drive an pcm interface??

and what can you say about the RTOS did you worked whit her??

Ok, from your last post I've understood that you are interested about another MCU than eZ8 Encore, so I don't know anything about it.

Actually the one he is asking about is not a MCU, but a MPU.
