Encounter True Time Test/Encounter Timing System

I am novice in the field of Timing Analysis... I have never worked on Linux platform (Except Cadence for Circuit Design and Layouts).I am trying to figure out how do I use these tools. I have reference manuel, **broken link removed** but its kinda difficult and I feel I need 'Encounter True Test' and 'Encounter Timing System' for dummies .

Is there any good link for almost a layman like me? I know this is a lot to ask but i WANT to learn these tools ANYHOW!
