can anyone please tell me, wheather code number of any motherboard indicating or specifies some special features or configuration of that???

in my case, code KOB815ETFSX..... is it meaning something special or its
just a serial number???

hi,
generally its an industry level code.
but sometimes it may have codes for chipsets.
your code indicates intel 815 chipsets.
modern mother boards always has the chipset code in its serial code.

Mother-board code identifies the particular configuration of a mother board. Not all MB codes are decriptive too, from the code one you indicated it looks like an Intel 815 mother-board, but thats not always necessary. Most of the time vendor will identify a particular configuration with the MB code. Usually vendors provide the device drivers and their updates for the MB according to the MB code.
