hello , i want to interfaceing a 12v relay with pic microcontroller...

i need 6 realyz for switching 6 different comportment,
so for that purpose i need 6 diffenet transister for driving relay?
(as in figure npn transistor acting as switch and provide relay for operate)
isn't it only a simple circuit which can drive 6 diffirent relays rather than six npn transistors..... and huge repeated circuit.?

other method for interfacing relay with micro controller will be appreciate.....

thankx

try to use uln2003 for relay derive

If you use small transistors as SOT32 this is not huge, or you can use suggested ULN2803 or other similar IC.

Additional to this you can use relays with coil voltage at 5V.

µC dont have capability to support higher currents on I/O pins, and this current is in range of 10-25mA per pin, also there is µC total pins current factor for lots µC is around 70mA.

My tips is this:

Add RX (1K) and RY(10K).
