Hello,

there are extraction methodology like CC, Rc etc and extraction strategy like RCMax Cmin Cmac
So whats the difference between them ?
How is the extracted capacitance effected by them ?

Thanks and regards,
Roopak

Extracted capacitance is all rules & methods, some of the
buzz words here indicate that the rules are set up to give
a worst case min or worst case max value rather than a
"most accurate, best guess" value. That's a choice, one
which may or may not be indicated by the naming.

C elements extracted, can be overlaid simply to a netlist.
Add R to the mix, and now some machine intelligence has
to rip up your netlist to embed distributed Rs and Cs, and
not make a mess.

Anyone who says "methodology" more than once a meeting
deserves you to spit in their coffee cup when they're not
looking.
