What is the difference between ChipScope and Identify ? Also which tool is better ?

Basically It Is The Same Principal , However identify has the RTL source code debugging while the xilinx is waveform only. i guess the price diff is in favour of xilinx design.

Hi

Dose chipcope have any limitations on the design clk speed?
in other words what is the max clk speed that can be monitored using chipscope?

There is no limitation on design clock speed while using chipscope.
Chipscope blocks are considered as virtual memory block and almost ignored during synthesis. They are just used to connect the signals to the memory blocks for runtime hardware validation.

The clock must be specified for chipscope blocks but there is no maximum limit. It can be the same as operating frequency of FPGA design.

it actually has problem with higher clock rates like 200mhz.
