Hello,

Can somebody please elaborate on the differences b/w Temporal Filtering and Spatial Filtering?

Thanks.

spatial filtering is intra frame based.
temporal is inter based.

A time domain signal can be seperated in frequency by temporal filtering and a spatial signal ie coming from any of the 360 degree can be subjected to spatial filtering to know the direction of arrival

it really depends on the Structural Element used for filtering
if the SE is protruding temporally it alters every frame after. obviously affects the images which follow it.
if the SE is 2D (spatial, like Sobel filter). it filter the image only, without affecting the next image.
