Hi

I have a custom metal cap which is not from the foundry.LVS does not recognize this cap.Need some suggestions on fixing this issue.

Regards
Brittoo

Usually foundry will add an additional dummy LVS layer to help the tool recognize the special device like inductor, MIM cap, MOM cap.

Check for your PDK MOM cap cell for this layer.

Hope it helps.

For me, what works is to represent it in the schematic with a hand
calculated pcapacitor value. Pcapacitor doesn't bother LVS and in
an extracted-based simulation the real interconnect capacitance
will replace it (presuming your PDK has a good rules set).
