CST MWS Error Transient Solver

I don't know if this will work, but in the transient solver choose --> "Adaptive mesh refinement button" --> click "adaptive properties" --> then try to increase the number in "Maximum Number of Passes"

When the transient solver has not been satisfied, it means there is a problem with your structure, mesh definition or boundary conditions. What antenna are you simulating? If it is a patch antenna, check the port dimensions and check the port is touching the microstrip feed. If you're still having problems you can post the file or any other details.

hi
I UC-EBG structure used an antenna in CST MWS.
Boundary conditions do not change? What changes do I need to apply?

I need help,General guidance If you can give me would be appreciated

thanks

Hi ehsan,

For EBG structures what parameters are you looking for?

If you need the dispersion diagram you may use the eigenmode solver with it's specific boundary conditions (look at this post --> https://www.edaboard.com/threads/123197/)

For S21 you may choose to use the "FSS" template on CST, if you search this forum you may find some tutorials on that.

hi khaled

i Draw a dispersion diagram use the eiggenmode,Just now I am in search of the parameter S21.

can you help me?

Please look at this post --> https://www.edaboard.com/threads/282559/#post1208579

It has my CST file for generating S21, not fully finished yet since I'm still waiting for someone's expert help, but it will give you the general guideline. Good luck!

Can you also share your results regarding dispersion diagrams? Thanks.

hi
dear khaled
i have no problem in Draw a dispersion diagram of (Γ-X, XM),But in the case of M-Γ because PhaseY and PhaseX together are considered variables in The parameter sweep,Results are wrong

i think in CST MWS not sweep the two variables together! If I'm wrong, please help me!

Hi Ehsan,

I'm not fully capable on the dispersion diagram yet, I get some help from a colleague tomorrow, if any updates will let you know.

In the mean time can you share your results?
