My 1 year old CQ620 oscilloscope trace is so faint that the room has to be dark to view it. It was OK when switched off, then stood for a month, then when switched on the intensity is low and the knob is fully clockwise.
Can anyone help with a schematic or suggestions of how to test for the problem.
BradtheRad suggested checking voltages on the intensity pot. They were not changing. 10k pot changed and all is working as normal again - he knows his stuff. Thanks

Is the beam produced by a high voltage circuit? Can you measure a high V on the wire carrying it?

Can you measure any V change at the intensity knob when you turn it? Across any of its terminals?

Hi BradtheRad,
8v on top of intensity pot and 0 on wiper, immaterial of setting. Replaced 10k pot and all ok now.
Thank you kindly for your assistance.
