friends i have a spartan 3e board and tried the the ISE tutorial. however i could not output it to my board because the ports are different.can you tell me the corresponding ports of the spartan 3 for the spartan 3e

Which board do you have? Which ISE tutorial did you try?

Your board probably included a special CD with a Getting Started manual, and some example projects. Try them instead of the ISE tutorial.

If its a Xilinx Spartan-3E Starter Kit, their web site also has examples:
