coding for lcd interfacing

whenever we interface a board and a lcd through lvds interface is coding required? on what basis should we decide wether we need coding for a particular lcd interface please help

About which field you are saying...?
Means coding in Software or in Hardware...?
If Software which is your platform...?
If its in Hardware which is the platform...(is it contain an FPGA or Processor or any Micro controller...?)

Please specify these parameters...

One another thing is that the coding doesn't alter the interface channel LVDS , the LVDS will provide better noise margin and good data security...
