I am trying to design CMOS amplifier for an integrator that should generate 10 bit resolution Ramp waveform. According to theory in Allen & Holberg the amplifier should have a Unity gain frequency more than 10 times the clock frequency. But my senior engineer who has got a lot of experience in the design says it may work even in case of less than clock frequencyand that he is telling depending on the . It seems flawed for me but I don't have sufficient analytical proofs in any textbook. I am trying to read the reference papers. Can anybody guide me about any practical implementations that show that the amplifiers work well even at lower UGB than clock.
